BAROQUE VIOLIN

Violinist Ian Jones has traveled the world performing a range of repertoire, from medieval to contemporary music. He earned his B.Mus at the University of Georgia and the M.Mus at the University of Denver. His passion for historical performance practice led him to purse graduate studies in baroque violin at the Juilliard School’s Historical Performance program.

Ian was an artist apprentice with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado for two seasons and was a 2023 Corelli Fellow with ARTEK Early Music. Most recently, he was selected as a 2025 fellow with the English Concert in America. Previous and future performance engagements include concerts with The  Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, New York Baroque Incorporated, Teatro Nuovo, Juilliard415, Tafelmusik, Les Arts Florissants, MA Festival Bruges, the English Concert, ARTEK Early Music, Bach Vespers NYC, American Bach Soloists, Oregon Bach Festival’s Berwick Academy orchestra, and La Fiocco.  He has performed with some of the  leading figures in early music, including Rachel Podger, William Christie, Masaaki Suzuki, John Butt, Shunske Sato, and Lionel Meunier, et al.
