Sirens, Muses, and Fairies: A Baroque Dance Concert – October 24-25, 2026

La Fiocco is thrilled to welcome back BALAM Dance Theatre for a performance of theatrical dances of France, England, and Germany. BALAM artistic director Carlos Fittante has created lavish interpretations of Jean Baptiste Lully’s March of the Turks (1670) and the exquisite Passacaille d’Armide (1686), Handel’s Chaconne from Terpsicore (1734), and dance pieces by Johann Bernhard Bach (c. 1730). And of course, the audience is invited to join us in a final dance.

In keeping with the spirit, La Fiocco musicians will also perform a set of English Masque dances published in 1621, selections from Henry Purcell’s The Married Beau (1694) and The Fairy Queen (1692), the Bizzaria: La Spagniola by William Corbett (1728), and a trio sonata for voice flutes and continuo by Louis Antoine Dornel (1709).

Seating is limited at both our Princeton and Solebury venues! Tickets must be purchased in advance using the link below. Hope to see you there.
