Come celebrate the holiday season with us at our festive concert!
La Fiocco teams with the vocal ensemble Mostly Motets for this year’s holiday concert featuring 17th-century French composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit pour Noël (1694), with La Fiocco vocal soloists and instrumentalists. Also on the program are sacred solo works by Andreas Hammerschmidt (c. 1611-1675) and Dieterich Buxtehude (1637-1707), the masterful duet “Hark Each Tree” of Henry Purcell (1659-1695), and the title work, Concerto Pastorale by Johann Christoph Pez (1664-1716). The audience is invited to join us in performing the final work, composer Owen Davitt’s variations on “God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen.”
