Jonathan Cable is an early music pioneer, one of the first double-bassists to specialize in baroque performance practice. A student of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, among others, and a member of such groups as Musica Antiqua Köln, Collegium Vocale Gent and, for 40 years, Les Arts Florissants, Jonathan looks back on a more than 55-year career of performing and recording around the world. In addition, he has given masterclasses at The Juilliard School, SUNY Stony Brook, and the Oregon Bach Festival, as well as lectures, workshops and courses in Austria, Germany, France, Hungary, Brazil, and Mexico. Based in Lyon, France, A renowned continuo specialist, Jonathan also coaches chamber music, vocal and orchestral projects. He also prepares modern editions of baroque music.
