The Fiddler’s Return

La Fiocco once again ventures into the world of the country fiddlers, with works from 17th-century Venice, Vienna, and London. Then we travel across the Atlantic to explore the fiddle traditions of Colonial and Antibellum America, as we pay tribute to the contributions of the black fiddlers of Monticello, ending our program with some foot-stomping traditional music from Ireland and Scandinavia.
